OpTech awarded second prime contract with U.S. Navy

OpTech, a Troy-based IT, engineering and healthcare workforce solutions provider, has been extended on the U.S. Navy’s SeaPort-e prime contract vehicle for technical support services for the next four years. SeaPort-e is a multiple award contract and the Navy’s electronic platform for acquiring support services in 22 functional areas including Engineering, Information Technology and Program Management.

“We are honored to be awarded this new contract, which is testimony to OpTech’s outstanding service to our federal customers,” says Scott Goodwin, senior vice president of government services. “We look forward to providing the Navy with innovative technical solutions and support in the areas of systems and software engineering.”

OpTech is qualified to support all 22 functional areas in all 7 regional zones. These Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity contracts allow awardees to compete for task orders issued by Naval Sea Systems Command, Naval Air Systems Command, Military Sealift Command, Naval Facilities Command, Strategic Systems Programs, Office of Naval Research, and the U.S. Marine Corps. The Seaport-e contract vehicle was established in 2002 by the Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) Warfare Centers to meet the wide variety of challenges that face the U.S. Navy and to increase efficiencies.
