Michigan Advanced Technician Training (MAT2), is an employer-driven talent development model supported by Governor Snyder that has established a statewide system for training and educating skilled technicians in order to bridge the currently existing skills gap.
Current corporate partners include ZF, Brose, Kostal, Detroit Diesel, FTE, EMAG, New Center Stamping, Heller, and Dürr. Industry involvement has shaped MAT2 into an educational model that is heavily focused on current and future industry needs.
Henry Ford Community College (HFCC) and Oakland Community College (OCC) will act as pilot locations for this program which is a unique model that also includes best practices from Germany.
You will learn at this seminar:
– Program information and background
– Why this program can address the need for skilled talent and creates a strong talent pool for the future
– Discussion on possible future programs
– How to decide if this is a program that can provide your company with a skilled and educated talent pipeline
