Finance Industry Leaders Offer Career Insight at Walsh’s Financial Futures Event

Walsh College will host Financial Futures, a free virtual event highlighting career opportunities in banking, corporate finance and financial services, on Tuesday, Mar. 2, 2021 from 8-9:30 p.m. A panel discussion will include Ashlee deSteiger, CFA, CFP, CPA, founder of Gunder Wealth Management,Richard DeVore, regional president, PNC Bank, Detroit and Southeast Michigan, Robert Watson, CAIA, assistant treasurer and chief investment officer, FCA US LLC, Stellantis and adjunct professor at Walsh and Vince Vitale, CFA, CAIA, director of equity, alternative and asset allocation research, Advance Capital Management.

John Moore, Ph.D., chair and professor of finance at Walsh will moderate the event which will also include a Q&A session and breakout rooms for more in-depth discussions with each panelist.

“Walsh’s Financial Futures event is an opportunity for people interested in entering or making a career change in the finance field to converse with highly successful industry professionals. We’ll discuss everything from the variety of career paths available in finance, to salary ranges, and even personality traits that often fare well in certain fields,” said Moore.

Walsh’s Master of Science in finance is a CFA Institute-affiliated program. Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) is a globally-recognized certification considered the “gold standard” in the finance and investment fields. Ninety five percent of Walsh faculty have industry experience, with many still working in their field of expertise.
