Trevor George didn’t start out looking for a job after graduating from the University of Michigan with a bachelors in general studies. He made his own job by starting Blue Wheel Media.
The Troy-based Internet marketing agency started with two people six months ago. Today it employs half a dozen and an intern. George expects to add 40 employees by May with the help of some new clients.
“One big fish, and we’re close to landing a couple,” George says.
He started Blue Wheel Media with the idea of creating an overall branding experience for clients, instead of focusing on one niche section, such as social media or search engine optimization.
“We believe that if a brand wants to garner credibility it needs to leverage several channels,” George says. “You have to tailor your brand across several different channels.”
