Army recruits Kelly Services to help veterans

Army asks the Troy-based staffing agency Kelly Services to help veterans find jobs.


The U.S. Army is tapping Troy-based staffing agency Kelly Services
to help reserve soldiers and veterans find jobs in a variety of fields,
including health care, engineering and information technology.

in part to its alliance with Kelly Services, the Army will be connected
to some 300 public and private employers, including PepsiCo., Dell Inc.
and Rolls Royce Group. About 15 percent of the 206,000 reserve soldiers
are expected to seek employment under the program, known as the Army
Reserve Employer Partnership Initiative, according to Army spokeswoman
Col. Dianna Cleven. The service is also available to retirees and

Kelly Services, which has recruited job candidates
from the military for years, also will benefit from the partnership,
said Jim Hoen, vice president and division manger for Kelly Government
Solutions. The tens of thousands of soldiers seeking employment will
add significantly to Kelly’s client base and highlight the company’s
reputation for providing quality labor.
