Walsh announced today that the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) has acknowledged that its master of science in management (MSM) with a concentration in human resource management is now aligned with SHRM’s HR Curriculum Guidebook and Templates. Throughout the world, SHRM is the expert and thought leader on issues impacting workplaces. With 300,000 plus HR and business executive members in 165 countries, SHRM’s focus is to respect and maximize human potential.
Chris Emmons, Ph.D., is a Walsh faculty member and SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP). “Walsh’s HR curriculum includes the technical and behavioral competencies that align with the needs of the industry so students gain the knowledge and skills to make an immediate impact in their organizations. Under a special eligibility provision, Walsh MSM students are now able to take the SHRM-CP certification exam. Achieving SHRM-CP certification gives students a significant career advantage in the HR job market. I have been a member of SHRM as an HR professional inside of corporations, as the owner of an HR consulting practice and as an academic. SHRM resources and opportunities to network are a tremendous asset for HR professionals focused on innovative and measurable results.”
