Three grizzly bear cubs rescued from Alaska unveiled at Detroit Zoo

Three grizzly bear cubs rescued last November by the Alaska Department of Fish and Game have found a permanent home at the Detroit Zoo, which is renowned as a rescue zoo and for its long history of managing and caring for bears. The bears were orphaned when their mother was shot and killed after an encounter with a Wasilla, AK resident and began foraging for food in residential areas outside of Anchorage.
