Solar power manufacturer brings 200 jobs and $30 million investment to Oakland County

Sunlogics Inc.

has announced the opening of its global headquarters and manufacturing facility in Rochester Hills.

The company, which specializes in solar panel manufacturing and
development, has proved to be a major success for Oakland County’s
Emerging Sectors business attraction and retention strategy.

General
Motors Ventures has already made an equity investment of $7.5 million
in the company, who provides solar-powered electric charging stations
for the Chevrolet Volt at 3,000 Chevrolet dealerships across the U.S.
Sunlogics plans to invest $30 million in the 14,000-square-foot facility
and create 200 jobs in the process. The company has projected the
annual economic impact of the headquarters to be approximately $90
million.

Oakland County provided Sunlogics with site search
assistance, community introductions, work force recruitment and
training, introductions to suppliers, customers and partners and free
space in the Automation Alley International Business Center.
