PKSA Karate in Rochester Hills relocates and hosts grand opening celebration

PKSA Karate in Rochester Hills is moving to a new location!  The martial arts school, formerly located at 896 S. Rochester Rd., has relocated to 910 S. Rochester Rd.  PKSA Karate is inviting the public to its grand opening celebration on Saturday, October 8 from noon until 2 p.m., which will benefit the Rochester Hills Fire Department.

This family-friendly celebration will include a special guest appearance from Mayor Barnett as well as PKSA board members, who will kick off the grand opening with a breaking station (to take the place of the usual ribbon-cutting). There will also be a bounce house, games and activities, multiple martial arts demonstrations, a cameo appearance by Sparky the Fire Dog and a check presentation to the Rochester Hills Fire Department. In addition to all the festivities, there will be pizza slices and refreshments from Antoniou’s Towne Square Pizza.
“We are going to set out a fireman’s boot and ask the community to make a small donation to participate in all the fun activities we have planned and for the pizza slices and refreshments,” said Karen Gerstenberger, co-owner of PKSA Rochester Hills. At the end of the day, we will match that amount and present the Rochester Hills Fire Department with a check. It is our way to give back to the community that has continually supported PKSA.”
“We are so incredibly excited to show the community our new docheng (karate school), while raising money for our local firefighters” said Marc Gerstenberger, co-owner of PKSA Rochester Hills. “Our continued growth has given us the opportunity to expand, and we want to give thanks to the community by offering them a fun-filled day. We hope everyone will come out, see our new school and celebrate with us.”
