OCC’s Culinary Studies Institute celebrates Italian cuisine

Join Oakland Community College’s Culinary Studies Institute Thursday, February 21 to experience the unique “A Taste of Italy,” a food and wine pairing dinner.
 
This outstanding event will include great Italian foods prepared by OCC culinary students, an assortment of Italian wines, as well as Italian décor to enhance a memorable evening.
 
“A Taste of Italy” begins at 6 pm in the third floor dining room of Building J on OCC’s Orchard Ridge Campus in Farmington Hills. Cost is $60 per person, and reservations are required. The deadline is Friday, February 15.

The OCC Culinary Studies Institute is Michigan’s premier hospitality school. The largest of the Institute’s programs, Culinary Arts, gives students a combination of classroom and hands-on experience. In addition to extensive time in kitchen labs cooking and baking, students learn specialties such as ice carving and wine and spirits. Students also participate in such special events as the Wassail Feast and also operate the Ridgewood Café, the program’s restaurant located at the Orchard Ridge Campus.
 
The Orchard Ridge Campus is located at 27055 Orchard Lake Road, just south of I-696. Free parking is available in nearby college lots.
