Grab your hat, your gloves and your running shoes and become part of The Brooksie Way’s inaugural winter race.
The Chill at the Mills 5k is set for Jan. 26 at 9 a.m. and is held in conjunction with the Fire & Ice Festival in downtown Rochester.
Runners and walkers begin and end their journey behind the Rochester Mills Beer Co. Finishers may select an official “Chill at the Mills” winter wear item and all entrants who register by Jan. 5 get a long sleeve cotton T-shirt and pay only $25 for their entry fee. Race day applicants pay $35.
A pancake breakfast is being held from 9 a.m. to noon at the Rochester Fire Department benefiting Rochester Youth Assistance. Complete details and online registration for the race and the breakfast are available at www.TheBrooksieWay.com.
The seventh annual Fire & Ice Festival is set for Jan. 24-26 and is sponsored by Oakland County, Rochester and Downtown Rochester.
