$78 Million in Construction Approved at OU, New Arts, Athletics Facilities

Excerpt: Oakland University’s athletics and arts facilities are next in line for an update as four new construction projects were given the green-light at a recent board of trustees meeting.

Varner Hall, home of the university’s School of Music, Theatre and Dance, and a portion of the Student Athlete Development Center will be renovated and expanded, part of a $78 million general revenue bond issuance approved by the board. Those funds will also be used to add new research labs and upgrade central heating plant infrastructure.
