Oakland County’s Maureen Donohue Krauss named one of Crain’s 2010 “Women to Watch”

Crain’s Detroit Business Magazine recently named Oakland County’s Director of Economic Development & Community Affairs a “Woman to Watch” for 2010.

Managing a staff of more than 70 employees, Maureen Donohue Krauss is responsible for some of Oakland County’s most high-profile projects: the Emerging Sectors program, international business attraction and development and Oakland County’s Main Street program.

“Maureen truly is one to watch,” says Oakland County Executive L. Brooks Patterson. “She is one of the most experienced and talented economic developers in the state.”

A past president of the Michigan Economic Developers Association, Krauss has worked in economic development positions in Arizona and Metro Detroit before coming to Oakland County. She has also held a position in fundraising for the College of Engineering, University of Illinois.

“My entire career I have had the benefit of working with talented people and great role models,” Krauss said. “This honor is as much a credit to them as it is to me.”
