The Root Cellar – Yesterday, today and tomorrow:
Ah, ah, ah, ah, Stayin’ alive, Stayin’ alive!

40,000 years ago man discovered something that changed civilization more than the computer and the automobile combined. He could live longer, fight disease and survive in larger numbers, especially in colder climates. With the aid of geothermal technology he could stay cooler in the summer, warmer in the winter and with certainty answer the question once and for all: What’s for dinner?

Please come visit with us at Pine Grove Historical Museum for lecture, open discussion and tour of our Civil War era Root Cellar. Fred Liimatta will facilitate and guide on a trip back in time you won’t soon forget.
