1.3 million people attend the 19th annual Woodward Dream Cruise

The 19th annual Woodward Dream Cruise presented by Chevrolet attracted over 1.3 million people on Saturday, August 17, making this year’s as large as any previous year.

People from all around of the world enjoyed a beautiful Saturday as over 50,000 classic cars cruised Woodward Avenue. The streets were lined with people all along the 16-mile route that travels through nine communities.

“It was a great day for everyone who attended this year’s Woodward Dream Cruise,” said Tony Michaels, executive director, Woodward Dream Cruise. “We had near-record crowds for this annual, family-fun event and we want to thank all of our sponsors including our presenting sponsor Chevrolet for making this year’s cruise a huge success.”

Preparations are already underway to celebrate the 20th annual Woodward Dream Cruise taking place on August 16, 2014.
