Forty-Five Development Opportunities from 19 Communities Featured in Oakland County One Stop Ready Showcase of Properties

Investors, bankers, brokers, home builders or anyone interested in 45 development-ready opportunities in 19 Oakland County communities can get their project rolling quickly at the 2019 One Stop Ready Showcase of Properties.

The properties, which include prime sites in Clawson, Orion Township, Oxford, Pontiac, Royal Oak, Southfield, Troy and West Bloomfield, are among those ready for development. The showcase is Friday 8-11 a.m. in the Oakland Schools Auditorium, 2111 Pontiac Lake Road, in Waterford.

Kyle Westberg, president and CEO of West Construction Services in Pontiac, is the keynote speaker. He will discuss partnering with communities for success.

“The Oakland County One Stop Ready Showcase of Properties is an opportunity to invest in urban renewal, strengthening our communities by purchasing and refurbishing commercial and other available properties,” Oakland County Executive David Coulter said.

There is no cost to attend, but registration is required at AdvantageOakland.Eventbrite.com. Registration includes a continental breakfast. A book with the available properties will be distributed at the showcase.

One Stop Ready was created in 2013 to help communities embrace and streamline strategies that encourage economic development to implement a community’s vision. It provides resources, tools and training necessary to capitalize on community strengths while focusing on alignment between boards and commissions. It makes the development process more efficient through a customer-friendly, solutions-oriented approach to economic development.

Representatives from each community will be available to discuss their ready-to-go development opportunities. The communities are: Clawson, Farmington Hills, Ferndale, Highland Township, Independence Township, Lake Orion, Madison Heights, Oak Park, Orion Township, Oxford, Pontiac, Royal Oak, Royal Oak Township, Southfield, Troy, Waterford, West Bloomfield, White Lake Township and Wixom.

This is the sixth year for the showcase.
