No “shushing” at these Milford and Highland libraries as they’re playing host to live theater.
Davy Crockett’s wife fights a boastful liar, an aged Hispanic woman is granted a magical wish, and a clever rabbit yearns to be as big as a grizzly.
Such is the stuff of “American Short and Tall Tales,” to be performed live at the Milford and Highland public libraries by the renowned Wild Swan Theater on Jan. 29.
Presented as a compilation of three stories, the upcoming performances are geared to kids ages 3 years through seventh grade, and are sure to delight with a mix of dynamic characters, intriguing folklore and toe-tapping musical accompaniment, said Kate Linn, Highland Library’s youth services librarian.
“I don’t think we’ve ever had anything quite like this before at the library,” Linn said.
