The city of Auburn Hills will celebrate the new decade by welcoming at least four large companies to town, creating new jobs for the community.
The “Auburn Hills Advantage” drew Weber Automotive from South Carolina, where the company also has a manufacturing presence. Weber, which builds powertrain and vehicle structures, is expected to hire 119 employees in the first two years and a total of 262 employees in the next five years.
“We are very pleased to see major new business opportunities in Auburn Hills in addition to the ongoing efforts of long-time Auburn Hills businesses,” City Manager Pete Auger said. “Our economic development team and all of our department heads work together with businesses here to do what we can as a city to act quickly, eliminate administrative red tape and help ensure their success.”
