It’s official. The 2010 annual City of South Pumpkinfest is moving downtown.
City council members unanimously approved downtown street closures for the first weekend in October, effectively giving the venue change the green light. The community fall festival has been historically held at Millennium Middle School.
City councilman Glenn Kivell said he supports the move to the City’s downtown.
Mayor Tedd Wallace said his number one concern is making sure all the children’s amenities Millennium is known for hosting will be a part of the downtown setup.
Pumpkinfest Committee president Patti Maida assures the mayor and members of the community there will be plenty of children activities, including the bouncies.
