Oakland County Parks and Recreation 2014 annual vehicle permits now available

Oakland County Parks and Recreation 2014 Annual Vehicle Permits are now available and valid for the remainder of 2013 through December 2014.

“We are pleased to offer our annual vehicle permits on sale a week early in time for the hunting season that begins Oct. 1. Purchasing now provides a bonus of three additional months to enjoy the parks. We invite park guests to experience the splendor of Michigan’s most colorful season by getting outdoors,” Supervisor of Administrative Services Karen Kohn said.

Cost is $30/Oakland County residents and $46/non-residents. Discounts are available for seniors ages 62 and older, individuals with disabilities and active military. The Parks Perks Pass, which allows entry to Oakland County Parks and Huron-Clinton Metroparks, is available for an annual rate of $54.

The 13 Oakland County Parks offer 6,700 acres of natural landscapes and a wide variety of year-round recreation opportunities for individuals of all ages and abilities. Guest can hike, ride a bike, equestrian ride, camp, swim, boat, golf, picnic, cross-country ski, ice skate, ice fish, and attend nature programs and special events.
