Hills facilities greener with expanded recycling

A Farmington Hills recycling program is expanding their scope.

The recycling program is an expansion of one that’s been in place at
Farmington Hills facilities, said Nate Geinzer, management assistant
for the city.

“It’s expanded to include the same things a resident can recycle,” he said.

Recycling
is encouraged at every city building. Since last August, more than
20,000 pounds of materials have been recycled. Acceptable items include
office paper, newspapers, magazines, metal cans, plastic bottles, glass
bottles, juice boxes, plastic bags and more.
