Fall Family Fun at Oakland County Parks and Rec

There’s low-cost family fun to be had at Wint Nature Center of Independence Oaks this fall.

From foxes and coyotes to hayrides and harvest games, Parks and Rec will offer two great family-oriented days to explore the great outdoors.

On Saturday, Oct. 2, from 10-11:30 a.m., Wint Nature Center will host Canines in the Park. At just $1 a person, this is a chance to explore several canine relatives found in Michigan – grey fox, red fox and coyote.

Applefest, which takes place 1:30-3:30 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 17, offers families the chance to explore everything wonderful about autumn. Apple treats, hayrides and cider pressing are just part of what Wint Nature Center has planned for kids of all ages – and it’s just $3 per person.
