Cruise Nights Return to Walter P. Chrysler Museum with NEW Day, Time, Partners

Shift your summer cruise calendar a day ahead for Cruise Nights at the Walter P. Chrysler Museum, in Auburn Hills, as the fun returns on Wednesday evenings for 2010. Shift the time, too, to 5:30 – 8:30 p.m.

The five themed events – June 9 and 23, July 7 and Aug. 4 and 18 – are presented by Golling Chrysler Jeep Dodge in Bloomfield Hills, Palace Chrysler Jeep Dodge in Auburn Hills and Rochester Hills Chrysler Jeep Dodge in Rochester Hills.

The fifth annual series returns to the Museum’s spacious parking lot with music, food – and a theme for each evening:

  • June 9: Luxury Car Night
  • June 23: Extreme Performance Night
  • July 7: Dealers’ Choice Night
  • Aug. 4: Jeep® Night
  • Aug. 18: Classic Cruiser Night

Cruise Nights welcomes vehicles of all makes and models every evening – rain or shine. Trophies will be awarded each night for Best Paint, Best Under the Hood and Best Unrestored.

Golling, Palace and Rochester Hills will provide a selection of new Chrysler Group models for display each Cruise Night and dealership representatives will be on hand to demonstrate vehicle features and to answer questions.

The Museum will be open after-hours for self-guided tours, including Born to Race: Dodge Viper Racing Heritage a special exhibition showcasing eight concept and production models that played a pivotal role in the vehicle’s storied history.

Complete with a historical timeline and highlight labels detailing each vehicle, Born to Race – on exhibit in Boss Chrysler’s Garage May 4 – Aug. 30 – features such pivotal models as:

  • 1989 Viper Concept Car
  • 1997 Viper Le Mans Winner C-7
  • 1991 Viper RT-10
  • 1998 Viper GT-2
  • 1996 Viper GTS Coupe
  • 2000 Viper GTS-R Concept
  • 1997 Viper GTS-R
