County’s e-Filing saves time, money and trees

Oakland County’s eFiling program is taking care of business with out all that paper.

Oakland County’s successful eFiling program, which has already saved a stack of paper five building stories tall, is expanding to include three new judges, announced Clerk/Register Ruth Johnson and Chief Circuit Judge Wendy Potts.

Oakland Circuit Judges Rudy Nichols, Mark Goldsmith and Lisa Gorcyca this month joined Judges Michael Warren, Wendy Potts and Colleen O’Brien in the eFiling program, which requires attorneys in certain types of cases to electronically file and serve documents.

“The success of our eFiling Program has really been incredible,” said Johnson. “Oakland County has used technology to save time, money and trees while providing more convenient service to members of the legal community.”
