2015 Edition of Oakland County’s PROSPER Magazine Hits Airports in Time for Holiday Travelers

PROSPER, the official county magazine spotlighting Oakland County as a business and quality of life destination, is now available at Detroit Metropolitan Airport and Flint’s Bishop International Airport in time to reach thousands of holiday travelers.

In its ninth year, the free color magazine tells Oakland County’s story through the people who make the county a preferred location to live, work, play and prosper. It features communities, education and businesses in its 100 pages. It includes a photo essay – “16 views of this place we call home” – with custom images taken from various locations throughout the county.

The cover features Giuseppe Santangelo, founder and CEO of Skypersonic, and Zeran Gu, one of three Lawrence Technological University students, working on a Skypersonic-sponsored drone project at LTU.

“This is our ninth year and the magazine has gotten better each year,” Oakland County Executive L. Brooks Patterson said. “Whether you live here or you’re visitor to our county, you will learn something about the people and places that make up Oakland County. This is a first-class read.”

The magazine includes sections on economic development, talented county residents, entrepreneurs, downtowns, educational leaders, urban living and the county’s One Stop Ready program to spur economic development.

The magazine is funded by support from Oakland County communities, businesses and organizations. It will be available in January in Oakland County public libraries, selected communities, schools, upscale hotels, luxury suites at The Palace of Auburn Hills and Michigan Department of Transportation welcome centers throughout the state.
