David Wachler and Sons jewelers celebrate 90 years in business, 30 in Oakland County

David Wachler started in the jewelry business in downtown Detroit in 1922. In 1950, David went into business with his two sons, Norman and Jeff, and opened up a store in northwest Detroit.
David Wachler and Sons opened up on the corner of Maple and Old Woodward in Downtown Birmingham in 1983 where they continue the family-owned tradition with the third and fourth generation owners, Buzz Wachler and Lori Wachler Miller, running the original family business.
It is on this corner that they are now celebrating over 90 years of national and international award-winning custom design with 30 years in their Birmingham location.
“Every customer that walks in our store is treated as if they are part of our family. Whether it is for a simple repair, to buy a piece of costume jewelry, to sell some of their heirlooms, or to design a one-of-a-kind diamond ring,” explains Buzz Wachler. “Our main focus is and always will be genuine customer service. My grandfather started the tradition and we are continuing it today.”

David Wachler and Sons is located at 100 Old Woodward Ave., Birmingham.
