The Chrysler Technology Center: 25th Anniversary

It’s a landmark that can’t be missed when driving along I-75 in northern Oakland County. The Chrysler World Headquarters and Technology Center with its trademark Pentastar, in Auburn Hills, Michigan, has intrigued passersby for 25 years.
The research development side of the complex, Chrysler Technology Center (CTC) has been operating 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for the last quarter century building some of the most recognizable vehicles in the world.
Now celebrating its silver anniversary, CTC is still the only automotive facility that brings together scientific research, product design, engineering and manufacturing under one roof. Together with the Tower, the complex is the second largest in the United States in floor space; only the Pentagon is larger!
At 3.3 million square feet, the building became “the ultimate advantage” in the auto industry. There had never been anything like it and there still isn’t.
