Oakland Pet Adoption Center announces Howl-o-ween & pet costume event

Join the Oakland Pet Adoption Center on Saturday, October 22 from 12 – 4 p.m. for its first Howl-o-ween event. Event will be held at the shelter at 1700 Brown Road in Auburn Hills. The event is $5 per family, and all proceeds benefit the shelter.

Families can celebrate the best parts of fall and come in costume! Enjoy hayrides, cider & donuts, face painting, and win an array of prizes. Prize sponsors include Erebus Haunted House, The Cupcake Station, Jet’s Pizza and Emagine Theatres.

Pet owners may also enter their pet in a costume contest to join the party and win titles and prizes at the Howl-o-ween event. Send your picture in today to Alexis at johnsonafe@oakgov.com. The deadline for pictures is Monday, October 17.

“We’re really excited to be able to provide an event that offers affordable Halloween fun for the kids and helps out all of our wonderful animals,” said Joanie Toole, Animal Control supervisor.
