“Internship 101: What Employers Need to Know” educates Auburn Hills community

On Thursday, April 12, employers will gather to hear area professionals discuss what employers need to know when recruiting interns. The event is part of Talent Townhall, a workforce development program of the Auburn Hills Chamber of Commerce. Talent Townhall will be held from 11:30 to 1:00 pm at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Auburn Hills.  Registration begins at 11:15 am.
This educational event includes four panelists:
  • Jeff Love, President of Baker College-Employer & Employee Benefits
  • Sharon Miller, Vice Chancellor of External Affairs at Oakland Community College-Securing an Intern
  • Mohan Tanniru,  Dean of the School of Business and Administration at Oakland University-Managing an Intern
  • William Pilchak, Employment Attorney at  Pilchak, Cohen and Tice PC-What Employers Need to Know

“Talent Townhall brings subject experts together to discuss best practices, focusing on what both employers and interns can gain from an internship experience,” said Denise Asker, Executive Director of the Auburn Hills Chamber.

Talent Townhall was created from the input of our business and educational institutions, and will promote discourse among executives, human resource professionals and talent partners. The event is open to the public and includes a catered lunch.  Registration is required and can be accessed, through www.auburnhillschamber.com. Tickets are $32 for chamber members and $40 for non-chamber members. The event is presented by Oakland University and sponsors include Corp!, Snelling Staffing Services, Baker College and Oakland Community College.
