Mary Templeton
Mary Templeton is Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing,
Wind Energy Consulting and Contracting, Inc
(WECC), which provides turn-key services for wind projects large and small. She is based in Michigan and has sales and marketing responsibilities for the Jacksonville, Florida-headquartered company, working to develop the wind energy economy in the Americas and the Caribbean. Over the past year, she has served as the Vice Chair with the
Wind Energy Resource Zoning Board
(WERZ), representing the public at large and assisting in the identification of the best locations for wind energy development in Michigan.
With a technology career of more than 20 years that spanned several industries and included roles as Senior Vice President of OEM Sales for R.L. Polk and several leadership roles with SAS Institute, Inc. Mary says, "I am extremely honored to be able to use the leadership skills I have developed to help bring sustainable solutions to those that can benefit from it by consulting and contracting with organizations to evaluate and implement wind energy solutions. It's an exciting and growing field, and I am inspired by the opportunity to leave our earth in a better place than we found it by harnessing the available energy in our natural resources."
Mary lives in Plymouth with her husband Del. She has three grown children, all of whom are involved in some capacity with renewable energy, the environment, or outdoor education. She continues to stay active in leadership development and in supporting the community through various roles at

Women of Wind Energy
, and
AWEA
and
Paragon Leadership
. She has been a mentor with Mentiuum, and has served on the board of Life Directions, a non-profit organization committed to helping at-risk students achieve and success.
She will be a facilitating judge at the
Energy & Environment Epprentice
at Next Energy, to be held in Detroit on October 15, 2009. Mary has been recognized throughout her career, including being awarded Michigan's Top Women in Computing (2004), serving as Executive Host for Inforum Center for Leadership Flights (2006), and honored with the Inforum Inner Circle Leadership Award (2008). Mary received her MBA from Eastern Michigan University and her undergraduate BS in Business from Wayne State University.
